Loughton Gas Safety Certificates

Regardless of whether it is a rental agent or you as the landlord who appoints the Gas Safe sanctioned plumber to provide Loughton Gas Safety Certificates, you should always obtain duplicates of all details of the work completed, according to the Health and Safety Executive. Furthermore, the contract between you and the agent should make it apparent who is legally responsible for scheduling tests and servicing appointments.

UK law requires that all rental properties must pass examinations by a professional plumber before Loughton Gas Safety Certificates can be issued. PGS can provide this service and complete these examinations, which include checking for gas leaks, unsafe installations, a build-up of combustion outputs due to inadequate ventilation and abnormal operating or standing pressures.

Landlords will be issued with Loughton Gas Safety Certificates once the necessary checks have been carried out to their engineer’s satisfaction. As a landlord you should give a copy to your tenant within 28 days of it being issued, and you will need to keep a copy for yourself for two years.
