Cobham Gas Safety Certificates
To make sure landlords and letting agents don’t forget to have their Cobham Gas Safety Certificates brought up to date and regular safety inspections conducted, PGS offers a reminder service. This service makes sure you are contacted at the right time to book a new inspection, protecting you from an accidental breach of gas safety regulations.
Landlords that use an agent to manage their buildings should ensure that the management contract specifies who will organise for a Gas Safe qualified plumber to undertake the required safety checks and issue Cobham Gas Safety Certificates. The Health and Safety Executive also recommend that landlords obtain copies of all gas-related documentation to ensure it is legitimate.
If you want to double check whether or not a particular rented room within a building needs Cobham Gas Safety Certificates, PGS can help. Our Gas Safe approved engineers have a detailed understanding of gas safety rules, and will be able to tell you whether or not you need certification.
In order to work with domestic gas supplies and appliances in the UK, plumbers must now be on the Gas Safe Register, regardless of the continued existence of CORGI. So that PGS can work with landlords and letting agents to supply Cobham Gas Safety Certificates, all of our plumbers are Gas Safe accredited.
In order for a property to receive its Cobham Gas Safety Certificates it must first pass certain tests administered by an engineer. Once the engineer is convinced of the property’s gas safety, they will furnish the landlord with copies of the certificates, one for your tenant – to be handed over within 28 days – and one for you to file for 24 months.
