Byfleet Gas Safety Certificates

On occasion, during a routine gas safety test, our certified specialists at PGS may discover that additional repairs are required before Byfleet Gas Safety Certificates can be provided to the landlord or rental agent. These repairs are often done as part of the same appointment, lowering your costs.

In order to qualify for Byfleet Gas Safety Certificates, rental accommodation must undergo a range of tests, including those for leaks, installation faults, aeration issues, evidence of misuse and flue efficiency. All these essential tests can be completed by a PGS qualified plumber to ensure the effective working order of your gas equipment.

In cases where a rented room in a property does not itself have gas heating, but there is a gas boiler in the building, the landlord must still obtain the relevant Byfleet Gas Safety Certificates. If you are uncertain whether or not your building requires certification, PGS can provide guidance.

Your PGS Gas Safe qualified professional can provide Byfleet Gas Safety Certificates for up to two gas appliances for 90. If additional certificates are required these can be purchased for 25 each, and any necessary repairs undertaken in order to qualify for a certificate will be priced independently.

The punishment for not having official Byfleet Gas Safety Certificates can range from fines to a criminal conviction depending on the consequences. As a landlord you are responsible for the safety of your tenant and if the tenant is in any way injured as a result of an unsafe appliance, you are responsible in the eyes of the law and could therefore face prosecution.
