East Molesey Gas Safety Certificates
If you use a rental agent to manage your property, your contract should make it clear who will arrange the appointment with a Gas Safe registered engineer in order to obtain East Molesey Gas Safety Certificates. The advice from the Health and Safety Executive is to also request copies of any checks and maintenance information relating to your property to make sure that it meets legal requirements.
Landlords and letting agents who do not have the required East Molesey Gas Safety Certificates can face tough penalties. These will usually include the invalidation of your insurance and may even extend to criminal prosecution for manslaughter in carbon monoxide poisoning, or gas explosion, cases, as you are liable for the safety of your tenants.
CORGI registration used to be the thing to look out for if you required a qualified gas expert. Now Gas Safe registration is the core requirement for anyone who works with gas and at PGS, our Gas Safe certified experts are able to meet all your gas needs, including the provision of East Molesey Gas Safety Certificates.
Landlords will be issued with East Molesey Gas Safety Certificates once the necessary checks have been carried out to their engineer’s satisfaction. As a landlord you should give a copy to your tenant within 28 days of it being issued, and you will need to keep a copy for yourself for two years.
For up to two gas appliances, East Molesey Gas Safe Certificates are priced at £69, and our PGS Gas Safe approved engineers can supply additional certificates at the price of £20 each. Any supplementary services required to issue the certificates will be priced separately.
