Southgate Gas Safety Certificates

With PGS, up to two appliances will set you back 90 for the Southgate Gas Safe Certificates, and our Gas Safe trained engineers can also provide certificates for any other equipment at a cost of 25 per item. Any accompanying repair work will be charged in addition to the certificate costs.

PGS plumbers sometimes find that extra maintenance work needs to be carried out in advance of issuing the Southgate Gas Safety Certificates for a rental dwelling. However, because our plumbers typically complete this work together with the gas safety evaluation, you save money on another call-out.

If, as a landlord or property manager, you are unable to supply official Southgate Gas Safety Certificates upon request, you may be severely penalised. For example, it is not uncommon for insurance companies to withdraw their cover of uncertified rental accommodation and you could even face a prison sentence for manslaughter if there were to be a fatal accident caused by an unsafe gas supply or appliance.

In cases where rental accommodation is managed by an agent, the contract you have should make it obvious who is responsible for acquiring Southgate Gas Safety Certificates from a Gas Safe approved engineer. Regardless of who assumes this responsibility, the Health and Safety Executive advises that you obtain copies of all tests and services performed on the building to ensure all legal requirements are met.
