NW2 Gas Safety Certificates

For up to two gas appliances, NW2 Gas Safe Certificates are priced at 90, and our PGS Gas Safe approved engineers can supply additional certificates at the price of 25 each. Any supplementary services required to issue the certificates will be priced separately.

Even if a room in a building is rented out without gas heating, but there is a gas boiler in the property, the landlord must be able to present a valid certificate. If you’re not sure whether your property requires NW2 Gas Safety Certificates, then you can contact PGS for further advice.

To be awarded with NW2 Gas Safety Certificates, dwellings must first pass an inspection by a certified technician. Once granted, copies of the certificates have to be provided to the tenant within 28 days and the landlord needs to, for at least two years, keep a copy too.

When a PGS engineer visits a rental property in order to complete a gas safety check, they will inspect all gas equipment for, amongst other things, signs of leaks, misuse, poor aeration, and flue efficiency including rust removal. NW2 Gas Safety Certificates will be awarded once these inspections are complete.

Landlords are obliged by law to make sure their rented properties with a gas supply are examined by a Gas Safe endorsed engineer every year. With our sufficiently qualified and Gas Safe endorsed engineers, PGS is well placed to conduct the essential examinations and grant NW2 Gas Safety Certificates.
