NW5 Gas Safety Certificates

If your room which you rent out has no gas heating and only a gas boiler on the premises, you must still have a certificate if you are unsure whether your accommodation requires NW5 Gas Safety Certificates, you should contact PGS. We have a detailed knowledge of the regulations, and can help you determine whether gas safe accreditation is required.

The cost of NW5 Gas Safety Certificates for up to two appliances is 90, and your PGS Gas Safe registered engineer can issue certificates for additional appliances for 25 each. Any repairs or replacements that need to be done before the certificates can be issued will be charged on top of this.

Individuals who work with gas now have to be Gas Safe authorised, rather than registered with CORGI. Gas Safe authorisation is also required to undertake gas safety inspections and to provide NW5 Gas Safety Certificates for rented housing, and all PGS technicians are Gas Safe approved and can work with landlords and letting agents to certify properties as gas safe.

When one of our gas safety professionals completes a rented housing inspection, they will determine whether any repairs are needed before the NW5 Gas Safety Certificates are provided. Wherever possible, they will look to complete this work during the appointment, thereby saving you money.

Landlords are legally required to have all rented dwellings with a gas supply inspected by a Gas Safe specialist every 12 months. PGS can provide a Gas Safe certified specialist to undertake these inspections and supply NW5 Gas Safety Certificates as needed.
