RH2 Gas Safety Certificates
PGS Gas Safe certified experts can provide RH2 Gas Safety Certificates for up to two electrical devices at a rate of £75, with supplementary certificates available for £20 each. However, any work that needs to be done before cerficates can be issued will be charged in addition to this.
Knowing exactly when your property’s RH2 Gas Safety Certificates need to be renewed, or when your next annual safety visit is due, can be stressful to manage. To make things a little easier for you and prevent any unintentional legal breaches, PGS offers a reminder service.
If your rental agent arranges for a Gas Safe authorised specialist to assess your property, and supply RH2 Gas Safety Certificates, this should be stated in your contract with the agent. The Health and Safety Executive also advises you to request copies of all maintenance information so that you can be confident your property is safe and law abiding.
As a property owner, if you do not have RH2 Gas Safety Certificates you can be severely punished. In most cases not having a certificate will result in your insurance be invalidated; however, if there is an accident relating to the gas supply, such as carbon monoxide leaks, as the landlord you could actually be prosecuted.
If you don’t know whether your properties need RH2 Gas Safety Certificates, perhaps because only certain rooms are let, you should call PGS. Our engineers have a detailed knowledge of the gas safety rules and can therefore give you the information to determine whether or not you need a certificate.
