Some landlords mistakenly think that if there are no gas appliances in a rented room then Rainham Gas Safety Certificates are unnecessary. To gain the Rainham Gas Safety Certificates for your properties, an inspection must be made and approved by a suitable engineer. The authorised specialist will award the relevant certificates once all appliances have been inspected and any safety issues have been resolved, and then the landlord is required to give the tenant a duplicate within 28 days and for two years keep a duplicate themselves.

Landlords are obliged by law to make sure their rented properties with a gas supply are examined by a Gas Safe endorsed engineer every year.
