However, this responsibility should be formally documented within your property management contract, and the Health and Safety Executive encourages you to get copies of details relating to all gas safety-related work performed to ensure it meets all legal demands.

To gain the Bankside Gas Safety Certificates for your properties, an inspection must be made and approved by a suitable engineer. The authorised specialist will award the relevant certificates once all appliances have been inspected and any safety issues have been resolved, and then the landlord is required to give the tenant a duplicate within 28 days and for two years keep a duplicate themselves.
