Blackheath Gas Safety Certificates

When one of our gas safety professionals completes a rented housing inspection, they will determine whether any repairs are needed before the Blackheath Gas Safety Certificates are provided. Wherever possible, they will look to complete this work during the appointment, thereby saving you money.

To make sure landlords and letting agents don’t forget to have their Blackheath Gas Safety Certificates brought up to date and regular safety inspections conducted, PGS offers a reminder service. This service makes sure you are contacted at the right time to book a new inspection, protecting you from an accidental breach of gas safety regulations.

The cost of Blackheath Gas Safety Certificates for up to two appliances is 90, and your PGS Gas Safe registered engineer can issue certificates for additional appliances for 25 each. Any repairs or replacements that need to be done before the certificates can be issued will be charged on top of this.

Some landlords mistakenly think that if there are no gas appliances in a rented room then Blackheath Gas Safety Certificates are unnecessary. However, if the building in question contains a gas supply a valid certificate is still essential, and PGS is able to provide advice and guidance for you if you are uncertain of what your building needs.

Landlords cannot obtain Blackheath Gas Safety Certificates for their properties until specific safety tests are completed, and the results are of an acceptable standard to your plumber. The tenant should then be issued with a copy of the certificate within 28 days and the landlord should store a copy for two years.
