SE20 Gas Safety Certificates

Our Gas Safe approved technicians always try to make any necessary repairs before the SE20 Gas Safety Certificates can be issued, while they perform the gas safety assessment. By doing all the work in one visit to your rented property we minimise the amount we charge.

If your rental agent arranges for a Gas Safe authorised specialist to assess your property, and supply SE20 Gas Safety Certificates, this should be stated in your contract with the agent. The Health and Safety Executive also advises you to request copies of all maintenance information so that you can be confident your property is safe and law abiding.

Although CORGI still exists as a membership organisation, the Gas Safe Register is now the professional register that any individual that works with gas must be on. All of PGS’s engineers are Gas Safe registered, and so are able to carry out the necessary checks for landlords and issue SE20 Gas Safety Certificates.

A property will only be provided with the required SE20 Gas Safety Certificates once your plumber has completed the requisite tests, and is satisfied that there are no outstanding issues. Once provided, a copy of the certificate should be passed on to your tenant within 28 days, and you should keep a copy yourself for at least two years.

At PGS, we charge 90 for SE20 Gas Safety Certificates which cover up to two appliances, and 25 for each extra certificate you purchase from your Gas Safe endorsed technician. If any repairs or exchanges are called for before we can issue the certificates, these will be priced alongside the other costs.
