SE23 Gas Safety Certificates

To be awarded with SE23 Gas Safety Certificates, dwellings must first pass an inspection by a certified technician. Once granted, copies of the certificates have to be provided to the tenant within 28 days and the landlord needs to, for at least two years, keep a copy too.

To obtain SE23 Gas Safety Certificates, rented housing must first successfully make the grade during numerous appraisals, which can be performed by a PGS technician. These appraisals include an assessment of how the appliances are fitted, whether there are any leaks, how well ventilated gas equipment is and pressure levels during operation.

The good news is that they often complete this maintenance at the same time as the safety check, minimising the fee you pay.
