These tests can be performed by a PGS professional, and include testing for gas discharges, errors in fitting, unsafe workings, ventilation, pressures, and issues with the removal of the products of rust.

Landlords and letting agents who do not have the required Sydenham Gas Safety Certificates can face tough penalties. These will usually include the invalidation of your insurance and may even extend to criminal prosecution for manslaughter in carbon monoxide poisoning, or gas explosion, cases, as you are liable for the safety of your tenants.
