North Cheam Gas Safety Certificates

In cases where a rented room in a property does not itself have gas heating, but there is a gas boiler in the building, the landlord must still obtain the relevant North Cheam Gas Safety Certificates. It is essential by law that all rented accommodation has a gas safety test performed each year by a Gas Safe approved engineer. UK law requires that all rental properties must pass examinations by a professional plumber before North Cheam Gas Safety Certificates can be issued. If a letting agent manages your property you should make sure it is clear who is responsible for gaining North Cheam Gas Safety Certificates from a Gas Safe endorsed technician. However, the Health and Safety Executive suggest that the property owner should also keep copies of all gas safety repair or maintenance so you know your property is legally safe.

Landlords cannot obtain North Cheam Gas Safety Certificates for their properties until specific safety tests are completed, and the results are of an acceptable standard to your plumber. The tenant should then be issued with a copy of the certificate within 28 days and the landlord should store a copy for two years.
