Carshalton Gas Safety Certificates
Even if a room in a building is rented out without gas heating, but there is a gas boiler in the property, the landlord must be able to present a valid certificate. If you’re not sure whether your property requires Carshalton Gas Safety Certificates, then you can contact PGS for further advice.
It can be difficult for landlords to keep track of when their Carshalton Gas Safety Certificates are due for renewal or their regular inspections need to be completed. This is why PGS offer a reminder service, whereby you are automatically informed when your gas safety checks are required.
When our plumbers complete a gas safety check, they often find that other repairs are required before Carshalton Gas Safety Certificates can be granted. Whenever this is necessary, our plumbers often do this work as they conduct the safety check, reducing the overall price you pay.
Regardless of whether it is a rental agent or you as the landlord who appoints the Gas Safe sanctioned plumber to provide Carshalton Gas Safety Certificates, you should always obtain duplicates of all details of the work completed, according to the Health and Safety Executive. Furthermore, the contract between you and the agent should make it apparent who is legally responsible for scheduling tests and servicing appointments.
To be awarded with Carshalton Gas Safety Certificates, dwellings must first pass an inspection by a certified technician. Once granted, copies of the certificates have to be provided to the tenant within 28 days and the landlord needs to, for at least two years, keep a copy too.
