SW15 Gas Safety Certificates

In order to be able to grant rental properties the required SW15 Gas Safety Certificates, and undertake gas product repairs and maintenance, plumbers must now be Gas Safe, rather than CORGI, registered. All of PGS’s plumbers are Gas Safe certified, and can therefore support all of a landlord’s gas safety needs.

If you want to double check whether or not a particular rented room within a building needs SW15 Gas Safety Certificates, PGS can help. Our Gas Safe approved engineers have a detailed understanding of gas safety rules, and will be able to tell you whether or not you need certification.

In order for a property to receive its SW15 Gas Safety Certificates it must first pass certain tests administered by an engineer. Once the engineer is convinced of the property’s gas safety, they will furnish the landlord with copies of the certificates, one for your tenant – to be handed over within 28 days – and one for you to file for 24 months.

On occasion, during a routine gas safety test, our certified specialists at PGS may discover that additional repairs are required before SW15 Gas Safety Certificates can be provided to the landlord or rental agent. These repairs are often done as part of the same appointment, lowering your costs.

UK law dictates that properties which are leased must be gas safety checked annually by a Gas Safe authorised technician. With PGS, our Gas Safe authorised plumbers can complete these inspections in addition to being able to award SW15 Gas Safety Certificates accordingly, to landlords.
