Clapham Gas Safety Certificates

For up to two gas appliances, Clapham Gas Safe Certificates are priced at £75, and our PGS Gas Safe approved engineers can supply additional certificates at the price of £20 each. Any supplementary services required to issue the certificates will be priced separately.

Our Gas Safe approved technicians always try to make any necessary repairs before the Clapham Gas Safety Certificates can be issued, while they perform the gas safety assessment. By doing all the work in one visit to your rented property we minimise the amount we charge.

Clapham Gas Safety Certificates can only be supplied once a rented property has been thoroughly assessed by a trained expert. During a safety visit, PGS’s trained engineers complete a variety of tests which include ventilation and flue effectiveness, fitting issues, gas leaks, signs of unsafe usage and standing/working pressures.

If, as a landlord or property manager, you are unable to supply official Clapham Gas Safety Certificates upon request, you may be severely penalised. For example, it is not uncommon for insurance companies to withdraw their cover of uncertified rental accommodation and you could even face a prison sentence for manslaughter if there were to be a fatal accident caused by an unsafe gas supply or appliance.

Individuals who work with gas now have to be Gas Safe authorised, rather than registered with CORGI. Gas Safe authorisation is also required to undertake gas safety inspections and to provide Clapham Gas Safety Certificates for rented housing, and all PGS technicians are Gas Safe approved and can work with landlords and letting agents to certify properties as gas safe.
