Hatton Gas Safety Certificates

PGS’s reminder service is designed to make sure landlords and agents stay on track with their next gas safety inspection and Hatton Gas Safety Certificates update. By keeping track on when these checks next need to be completed, it is easy for you to make sure all your properties are always safety certified.

Hatton Gas Safety Certificates will only be granted after our engineers are satisfied that the property has been examined, and is convinced there are no remaining safety concerns. The tenant should be given a copy of the certificate within 28 days, and the landlord should hold onto a copy for two years.

For up to two gas appliances, Hatton Gas Safe Certificates are priced at 90, and our PGS Gas Safe approved engineers can supply additional certificates at the price of 25 each. Any supplementary services required to issue the certificates will be priced separately.

PGS Gas Safe accredited professionals sometimes find that additional work needs to be done before they can award Hatton Gas Safety Certificates to a rented property. Normally, they combine this work with the safety assessment, which can often be cheaper than a repeat visit.

If you use a rental agent to manage your property, your contract should make it clear who will arrange the appointment with a Gas Safe registered engineer in order to obtain Hatton Gas Safety Certificates. The advice from the Health and Safety Executive is to also request copies of any checks and maintenance information relating to your property to make sure that it meets legal requirements.
