Stanwell Gas Safety Certificates

Knowing exactly when your property’s Stanwell Gas Safety Certificates need to be renewed, or when your next annual safety visit is due, can be stressful to manage. To make things a little easier for you and prevent any unintentional legal breaches, PGS offers a reminder service.

Landlords must make sure their properties with a gas supply are assessed by a Gas Safe plumber once every 12 months, to meet their legal responsibilities. PGS can supply a Gas Safe registered plumber to complete the required assessments and provide Stanwell Gas Safety Certificates to landlords and rental agents.

UK law requires that all rental properties must pass examinations by a professional plumber before Stanwell Gas Safety Certificates can be issued. PGS can provide this service and complete these examinations, which include checking for gas leaks, unsafe installations, a build-up of combustion outputs due to inadequate ventilation and abnormal operating or standing pressures.

If you use a rental agent to manage your property, your contract should make it clear who will arrange the appointment with a Gas Safe registered engineer in order to obtain Stanwell Gas Safety Certificates. The advice from the Health and Safety Executive is to also request copies of any checks and maintenance information relating to your property to make sure that it meets legal requirements.
