Gas Safe Registration has now superseded CORGI as the required qualification for any individual who wants to work with gas supplies and products in the UK. In order to be able to award Hillingdon Gas Safety Certificates we make sure all of our technicians at PGS are Gas Safe registered.

If a rental agent manages your property, you should make sure that the management contract specifies who will take charge of acquiring Hillingdon Gas Safety Certificates. As advised by the Health and Safety Executive, you should always demand copies of the resulting documentation for all work carried out, so you be confident your property meets all its legal obligations.

In order for a property to receive its Hillingdon Gas Safety Certificates it must first pass certain tests administered by an engineer. Once the engineer is convinced of the property’s gas safety, they will furnish the landlord with copies of the certificates, one for your tenant – to be handed over within 28 days – and one for you to file for 24 months.

When a PGS technician goes to a rented dwelling to undertake a gas safety inspection, certain repairs may need to be completed before Hillingdon Gas Safety Certificates can be awarded. Typically, this can be done at the same time as the inspection, often reducing the price.
