UB9 Gas Safety Certificates

For up to two domestic devices, UB9 Gas Safety Certificates cost 90, with certificates beyond this costing 25 each and being available directly from your PGS Gas Safe certified technician. Repairs that are essential for granting the gas safety certificates will be priced on an individual basis.

In cases where a rented room in a property does not itself have gas heating, but there is a gas boiler in the building, the landlord must still obtain the relevant UB9 Gas Safety Certificates. If you are uncertain whether or not your building requires certification, PGS can provide guidance.

It should always be documented in the contract between you and a managing agent who is liable for organising UB9 Gas Safety Certificates from a Gas Safe certified expert. However, even if the agent assumes this responsibility, the Health and Safety Executive still recommend that the landlord asks for duplicates of all gas safety records so that you can be sure of meeting your legal needs.

We know that landlords and letting agents can sometimes lose track of when their UB9 Gas Safety Certificates need completing again, or when the next safety test is required. As a result PGS has developed a service whereby landlords and letting agents are notified in a timely manner to book their next visit.

Individuals who work with gas now have to be Gas Safe authorised, rather than registered with CORGI. Gas Safe authorisation is also required to undertake gas safety inspections and to provide UB9 Gas Safety Certificates for rented housing, and all PGS technicians are Gas Safe approved and can work with landlords and letting agents to certify properties as gas safe.
