White City Gas Safety Certificates
To obtain White City Gas Safety Certificates, rented housing must first successfully make the grade during numerous appraisals, which can be performed by a PGS technician. These appraisals include an assessment of how the appliances are fitted, whether there are any leaks, how well ventilated gas equipment is and pressure levels during operation.
UK law dictates that properties which are leased must be gas safety checked annually by a Gas Safe authorised technician. With PGS, our Gas Safe authorised plumbers can complete these inspections in addition to being able to award White City Gas Safety Certificates accordingly, to landlords.
PGS Gas Safe accredited professionals sometimes find that additional work needs to be done before they can award White City Gas Safety Certificates to a rented property. Normally, they combine this work with the safety assessment, which can often be cheaper than a repeat visit.
It can be difficult for landlords to keep track of when their White City Gas Safety Certificates are due for renewal or their regular inspections need to be completed. This is why PGS offer a reminder service, whereby you are automatically informed when your gas safety checks are required.
Even if a room in a building is rented out without gas heating, but there is a gas boiler in the property, the landlord must be able to present a valid certificate. If you’re not sure whether your property requires White City Gas Safety Certificates, then you can contact PGS for further advice.
