South Oxhey Gas Safety Certificates

As a landlord, not obtaining the necessary South Oxhey Gas Safety Certificates for your properties is significantly risky. For example, insurance policies can be withdrawn immediately and, even more worryingly, because you are liable for the tenant’s safety with respect to the gas supply, if the tenant was harmed because of poorly maintained gas appliances, you could face prosecution and even prison.

Gas safety rules can be difficult to interpret, particularly in cases where only certain rooms in a property with a gas supply are let. PGS has a thorough understanding of the gas safety rules and can therefore help you find out whether your property requires South Oxhey Gas Safety Certificates.

In order to be able to grant rental properties the required South Oxhey Gas Safety Certificates, and undertake gas product repairs and maintenance, plumbers must now be Gas Safe, rather than CORGI, registered. When one of our gas safety professionals completes a rented housing inspection, they will determine whether any repairs are needed before the South Oxhey Gas Safety Certificates are provided. Wherever possible, they will look to complete this work during the appointment, thereby saving you money.

Rented accommodation will receive South Oxhey Gas Safety Certificates as soon as vital tests have been passed in the opinion of an engineer. All landlords are required to supply a copy of the certificate to the property’s tenant within 28 days, and should store a copy themselves for two years at least.
