WD24 Gas Safety Certificates

Rental properties must pass a number of checks in order to earn their WD24 Gas Safety Certificates, and these can all be carried out by a PGS engineer. These include checks for gas leaks, installation defects, ventilation, evidence of unsafe operation, standing and working pressures and flue flow to ensure the removal of products of combustion.

Regardless of who assumes this responsibility, the Health and Safety Executive advises that you obtain copies of all tests and services performed on the building to ensure all legal requirements are met.

Property owners without legitimate WD24 Gas Safety Certificates for their properties can be disciplined strictly. Such reprimands can even include a criminal conviction in cases where poorly maintained gas appliances result in harm or death and you will also have your insurance withdrawn.
