Hunton Bridge Gas Safety Certificates

There can be major consequences for you as a landlord if you do not have legitimate Hunton Bridge Gas Safety Certificates in place for your properties. Consequences may include withdrawal of insurance and, in some cases, even criminal prosecution where the tenant’s safety is put in danger from carbon monoxide-related leaks.

To gain the Hunton Bridge Gas Safety Certificates for your properties, an inspection must be made and approved by a suitable engineer. The authorised specialist will award the relevant certificates once all appliances have been inspected and any safety issues have been resolved, and then the landlord is required to give the tenant a duplicate within 28 days and for two years keep a duplicate themselves.

In cases where a rented room in a property does not itself have gas heating, but there is a gas boiler in the building, the landlord must still obtain the relevant Hunton Bridge Gas Safety Certificates. Rental properties must pass a number of checks in order to earn their Hunton Bridge Gas Safety Certificates, and these can all be carried out by a PGS engineer. These include checks for gas leaks, installation defects, ventilation, evidence of unsafe operation, standing and working pressures and flue flow to ensure the removal of products of combustion.
