Swanley Gas Safety Certificates

When a PGS engineer visits a rental property in order to complete a gas safety check, they will inspect all gas equipment for, amongst other things, signs of leaks, misuse, poor aeration, and flue efficiency including rust removal. Swanley Gas Safety Certificates will be awarded once these inspections are complete.

If you want to double check whether or not a particular rented room within a building needs Swanley Gas Safety Certificates, PGS can help. Our Gas Safe approved engineers have a detailed understanding of gas safety rules, and will be able to tell you whether or not you need certification.

For Swanley Gas Safe Certificates which include up to two appliances, you will pay 90, and for any further certificates you will pay 25 for each one these are also available from your PGS Gas Safe endorsed technician. If maintenance or repairs are necessary in advance of awarding the certificates, you will pay for this work on a separate basis.

Rented accommodation will receive Swanley Gas Safety Certificates as soon as vital tests have been passed in the opinion of an engineer. All landlords are required to supply a copy of the certificate to the property’s tenant within 28 days, and should store a copy themselves for two years at least.

Landlords are obliged by law to make sure their rented properties with a gas supply are examined by a Gas Safe endorsed engineer every year.
