Beckton Gas Safety Certificates

When we attend a rental house to perform a gas safety test, we will identify whether any additional action is needed before our engineers can present you will your Beckton Gas Safety Certificates. Usually we complete this work alongside the gas safety test, decreasing your costs.

With PGS, Beckton Gas Safety Certificates for one or two appliances cost £75, and our Gas Safe accredited plumbers can provide supplementary certificates for £20 per appliance. Any maintenance work undertaken before the certificates can be provided is charged separately and in addition to the cost of the certificates.

Contracts between landlords and rental agents must spell out whose job it is to organise for a Gas Safe qualified professional to inspect the property and award Beckton Gas Safety Certificates. It is also seen as best practice by the Health and Safety Executive that the landlord keeps copies of all certificates and repair documents for certainty of the accommodation being safe and legal for renting.

We know that landlords and letting agents can sometimes lose track of when their Beckton Gas Safety Certificates need completing again, or when the next safety test is required. As a result PGS has developed a service whereby landlords and letting agents are notified in a timely manner to book their next visit.

Landlords are expected to be able to produce valid Beckton Gas Safety Certificates when asked to do so. If you do not have a valid certificate you could face penalties that range from the annulment of insurance policies to a criminal conviction if the tenant’s safety is put at risk.
