TW16 Gas Safety Certificates

CORGI is now only a membership organisation, and it is Gas Safe registered status that now signifies that an engineer has the qualifications needed to work with gas products and issue TW16 Gas Safety Certificates. PGS are able to supply landlords with Gas Safe qualified professionals to carry out gas services and safety certification.

Gas safety rules can be difficult to interpret, particularly in cases where only certain rooms in a property with a gas supply are let. PGS has a thorough understanding of the gas safety rules and can therefore help you find out whether your property requires TW16 Gas Safety Certificates.

To be eligible for TW16 Gas Safety Certificates, rented properties must undergo a range of inspections. These inspections, which can be performed by one of our PGS plumbers, identify many things such as signs of leaks, inappropriate usage, poor aeration, ineffective removal of combustion products by the flue and incorrect operating or idle pressures.

When one of our engineers visits a rental property in order to carry out a gas safety check, it might be necessary to repair or service an appliance before TW16 Gas Safety Certificates can be issued. This can usually be carried out during the same visit, at a reduced cost.

To obtain the necessary TW16 Gas Safety Certificates the property must be evaluated by a qualified technician. A certificate will only be supplied once the technician is happy the property’s gas system is completely safe, at which point the tenant should be provided a copy of the certificate within 28 days, and the landlord should retain a copy for two years.
